I keyframe'd the animated shorts using Autodesk Maya. I referenced models that I created for my animated series “Warm Soda,” in place of the traditional 2D animation rough phase. This automatic key-framing pipeline slashed down production time down by ~40%!
For this film, I wanted to achieve a sketchier style of line-work, while also maintain model integrity, so I engineered a 3D-to-2D rotoscope workflow ensuring dimensional consistency and stylistic contour aesthetics. The programs I used were Autodesk Maya for the Proof-of-Concept 3D pass for sign off, onto Toon Boom Harmony for the final pass. The final deliverable was a 7-minute animated film saved .MOV
